Commissions within the Department of Law Enforcement: Specifies that appointments & reappointments of members to Medical Examiners Commission are considered in force until certain conditions are met; requires commission to appoint district medical examiners by majority vote to fill vacancies; requires commission to appoint district medical examiners for medical examiner districts; requires physician members of commission to serve as district medical examiners upon approval by commission; requires Criminal Justice Professionalism Program to provide staff support to Criminal Justice Standards & Training Commission; requires commission to act independently of any criminal justice agency; requires commission to establish online initial & continued employment training component relating to diabetic emergencies, medical use of marijuana, autism spectrum disorder, & Alzheimer's disease & related forms of dementia. Effective Date: July 1, 2026
